Staying Safe On The Trails
While the risks of getting lost in Bukit Kiara is relatively low due to its looping trails, it can take a dangerous turn when combined with other factors, especially injury or loss of daylight. As such, it is important to always be prepared:
- Wear suitable attire, including a strong pair of hiking shoes with good grip.
- Bring sufficient water, some snacks, a phone, phone charger and torchlight.
- Plan your route and install a trail app on your smartphone for navigation. Two highly recommended ones are as below – AllTrails and Komoot.
- If possible, avoid hiking alone.
