Last Saturday, we hosted a workshop on stakeholder advocacy for the protection and preservation of major green lungs in the Klang Valley (otherwise referred to as Urban Forest Parks).

It was a highly engaging day as we were joined by YB @hannahyeoh, @landskapnegara, other government agencies and assorted civil society including NGOs who share the same mission. The day’s discussions included:

– classifications of parks, open spaces, forests and their legislative & policy frameworks
– protected areas and other effective area-based conservation measures (OECMs)
– buffer zones and mitigation zones for green spaces
